Class Assembly

We will be showcasing our learning from term 1 in our P3A and P3B class assembly.

Your invitation to our class assembly was sent home with your child before the October Holidays. It is scheduled for Monday 4th of November at 2:15pm. We hope to see you all there!

Sundials

We have been learning about time and measuring weather using instruments. What better way to explore both than making our very own sundials?! We took them out just before break at 10:10am and they worked fantastically! If you point the 12 north then a shadow is cast by the pencil in centre on the correct time!

One of the googly eyes from the pack fell into my lunch bag, so we created a one-eyed alien to keep an eye on the class!

I hope you’re all relaxing into your October break!

Other Fun

We had the Book People stalls in our library for us to explore before parents’ evening and we loved looking at all the fantastic books. Some of you may have had a chance to buy some at parents’ evening.

We had an unexpected visitor in our class yesterday…Cousin It from the Addams Family…maybe a good Halloween idea! Too soon…?

Rugby Skills

We have really enjoyed learning about rugby skills and have played various games to practise skills of evasion, catching and throwing. We have played non-contact tag rugby which was lots of fun and very fast. What a competitive class we have! We even had the pleasure of welcoming Mr Cook into one of our PE lessons.

What’s The Time Mr Wolf?

We loved learning how to tell the time. We got outside for some active learning to match digital and analogue times to the correct time on our painted clock in the playground. It was fast, frenzied and lots of fun!
